Spillware on the Rise
Spillware is software created by someone who was tired of seeing people get ripped off. It's the Information Age -- information is flooding the earth.
Despite that, members of several professions still guard their industry secrets very tightly.
They don't want the guy on the street to know that they charge a small fortune for services that take very little effort -- just specialized knowledge.
Fortunately, there are individuals that are happy to "spill the beans" on those profiting from others' lack of understanding of their field.
The First Beans to SpillOne obvious example of spillware was probably the first example. Several years back someone decided it was just awful how attorney's used generic documents that they would
spend a few minutes altering and then charge their client several hundred dollars for a half hour of time. That someone gathered these "boiler plate" documents and made a software
package out of them so any normal Joe could benefit. Thousands upon thousands of dollars have been saved by people who can now just do-it-themselves.
Another early Spillware success was BizPlan Builder. Burke Franklin, its creator, saw the need in the business planning industry to make public the

But in a free market of ideas, such efforts will always fail in the long run -- and along will come another spillware program to spill the beans.
